Thierry Alla is a leader in spectral music in France, and his speciality is on exhibit in Discoïdal. The entire work is to be performed while circular breathing. A highly chromatic work, full of tone-color changes. Extended techniques include altissimo, bisbigliandi, slap tonguing, and breath sounds.
