Subtitled "Etude for precision of rhythmic and melodic patterns," this study exemplifies the style of Lauba. Extended techniques for saxophone include multiphonics (fingerings provided), limited altissimo to only G, and extensive slap-tonguing in rhythmic patterns. Circular breathing is also expected for extended sections.
